Cyber crime courses for cops

NEW DELHI : Special courses are
being held for Delhi Police on cyber crime by the controller of
certifying authorities, Ministry of Communications and Information
Technology at the Jawaharlal Nehru stadium.
The courses, meant for officers of
crime branch and special cell, will comprise tips on how to investigate
cyber crime and cyber forensics.
"The primary objective of the
week-long course is to help officers keep pace with the latest in
the field of Information Technology. It will help them in collection
of cyber evidences and their presentation before the courts,"
said Pradeep Srivastava, assistant controller (investigations).
The two courses, funded by the ministry,
will not just help modernise Delhi Police, but also help in tackling
terrorism and organised crime, said the officer.
The faculty for the course has been
provided by Centre of Information and Network University in Pune.
